What a very lovely welcome in this splendid and really traditional feel hotel! All front of house staff are super friendly super helpful and with an excellent welcoming and mini tour on arrival. Excellent attention to detail. They rise each time you enter the FOH area and the Manager greets you on arrival and departure. Everyone makes you feel like royalty! This represents really outstanding standards of service. A lovely meal in the Michelin Starred restaurant on my first evening. Great aircon in my room.

We were warmly greeted on arrival and our luggage taken care off. A drink was served before being shown to our Junior Suite which was a wonderful generous sized corner room with windows facing east and south so spectacular expansive views for miles across the city to the mountains. Took full advantage of this with room service the first evening. A short corridor led to the bathroom which also was filled with light and a shower that also afforded views across the city. Loved the soft towels. Breakfast on the terrace was a treat and delicious; Clea was a delight. The staff were attentive, especially Assistant Manager Anne and Kevin and made for a most relaxing and memorable stay. Thank you.

Authentic hotel with a spectacular view of the city of Lyon particularly from the terrace and swimming pool area. Large comfortable room with functional bathroom including a bath tub. Decor a little dated. Coffee machine and kettle provided with coffee pods and tea bags (but no milk). Fantastic breakfast including delicious freshly made omelettes.

Amazing old Place converted into a Hotel with great views of the city. The Pool Was exceptional, as was the surrounding pool area, with Bar service a nice touch. Great to be able to sit and watch a slow sunset. Close to Old Town and Heritage area. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

"Exceptional Stay – 10/10 on Booking!" My stay was outstanding! The room was spacious, and the staff’s service was top-notch, with exceptionally courteous receptionists and housekeeping staff. The cleanliness was impeccable, with twice-daily housekeeping. I was delighted by the free room upgrade and the thoughtful bed arrangement—elegant during the day and perfectly prepared for sleep at night. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making this one of the most relaxing stays I’ve ever had. Truly deserving of a 10/10—exceptional in every way!

We loved everything about The Hotel Florentine! this is a spectacular hotel, with the warmest, most attentive staff and and divine restaurant. Suiite #11 is very comfortable with a lovely large marbled bathroom, We had wrap around windows with fabulous views overlooking the magical, storied city of Lyon. Kevin at the front desk was especially kind and welcoming form the moment we huffed up the hill (the road was temporarily closed) The spa is small but well-appointed and just perfect for a day's respite after much sightseeing. The pool wonderful and warm. The location is up the hill, so there will be a bit of a walk, but the view is quite a reward! Breakfast was perfect, the fruit out of this world and having the abililty to have coffee/tea in your room is alwasy appreciated. The nightly turn down service was sweet with tasty local treats. What tasty plums! And do not miss the Michelin starred restaurant~ divine! Definitely our favorite in France and we spent the rest of the week at the Le Vaca in glamourous St. Tropez. Stay here, it's the best hotel in Lyon we were told and I truly believe it! Thank you Kevin and crew. We would love to be back soon. Last point, clearly everyone who works there is proud of their hotel, from the amazing 15th century murals to the local delicacies on offer, we could not have felt more welcomed.

Great Location, Amazing Pool and view. Super outdoor space for seating by the pool. We had 2x Deluxe rooms with amazing private terrace space... Rooms were spacious and meticulously clean. Great staff all the way from bell service to front desk, concierge, room cleaning, service staff. Food by the poolside was delicious. We had omelets 2 days in a row at breakfast, they were textbook, really one of the best I had.

The service at Villa Florentine was superb! The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. They seemed to be genuinely proud of the history of the property. Our room had a balcony with a great view, overlooking the pool and the city of Lyon. We enjoyed a lovely room service breakfast on our balcony. Their restaurant for dinner is top notch! The location is perfect , a short walk to the old city center.
